According to the latest installment of Coldwell Banker's Best Places to Live in New Jersey survey, three towns in Somerset County are the best, second best and third best places to live in the state if you're looking for a "booming" suburban community. 

Dubbed the Best Places to Live in New Jersey for Booming Suburbs, the latest findings place Bridgewater ( in which Bound Brook is encompassed) at the top of 25 towns ranked throughout the state, immediately followed by Somerset County neighbors Bernards and Hillsborough townships. 

The survey ranked "Booming Suburbs" based on employment increases compared to the previous year's, and unemployment percentages below the national norm, along with other considerations like access to local stores and shopping, proximity to good schools, commuting community safety. 

Hal Maxwell, president of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in New Jersey, said Somerset County offers a desirable mix of quality suburban life and commuting possibilities to businesses throughout the tristate area. 

Mike Anderson, writing for Nerdwallet.com cited Somerset County NJ in the top ten of Best Towns for Young Families in New Jersey, based upon affordability, schools, growth and safety. 

Whether you drove to get to Queens Gate or took mass transit, you’re probably aware of the convenience that Queens Gate presents for people looking for a place to call home. The Bound Brook New Jersey Transit Station offers New Jersey Transit service on the Raritan Valley Line. The station is located at 350 E. Main Street. 

NJ Transit offers bus service to and from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in Midtown Manhattan on the 114 and 117 routes, along with local service to Newark available on the 65 and 66 routes. 

Bound Brook is also served by DASH, CAT, and SCOOT lines.
